Happy (rainy) Saturday! The start of the monsoon season (and that we do not have a wedding this weekend) allows for us to take a moment to enjoy the time indoors, snuggled up at home, and to prepare for our upcoming fall floral season. We see wedding styles and floral preferences change from year to year, and even more so from season to season. As we depart from the light, bright and airy vibes of Spring, we wanted to share a little sneak peek of some of the design inspiration boards that we are conjuring up for our clients who are getting married towards the end of the year. Here is what we are recognizing as some of the coolest wedding trends coming online:
Jewel Tones:
If you can't decide on a wedding color - not to worry, you can have them all! There is something so lovely about a palette that doesn't provide limitations on color or floral profiles. It almost reminds us of a renegade approach where the sky is the limit when it comes to the arrangement style and variety of design. We are looking forward to implementing more of this design in October with Holly's wedding at the Schnepf farms meadow!
Marsala:
What's Marsala? No...we're not talking about the pasta dish! Although Marsala was 2016's Pantone "Color of the Year", we still haven't seen it fade from our couple's inspiration boards. The deep red is sophisticated, mysterious, and sunning all around. Adding pops of white or ivory florals help to create a balance between the darker colorways. Aren't these floral crowns in these inspiration images such a beautiful accessory as well?
Sunflowers:
Sunflowers are what many people traditionally consider the ultimate "fall" flower. The sheer size of these stems alone are sure to create an impact in wedding bouquets! This look complements the "rustic, farmhouse" wedding style very well. Adding the blue also serves as a complementary color to the bright yellow and orange hues. Our favorite blue flower is the thistle, which you can see in the center bouquet and boutonnieres. It adds just the right texture and interest! We are excited to implement this vision in Casey and Nicole's wedding at the Gather Estate this coming November!
